In a continuing effort to raise awareness of Sudan's Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA), UNMIS held a workshop on the accord at the Sudan Academy of Communication Sciences in Khartoum on 4 and 5 February.
Attended by more than 50 students, the "training of trainers" workshop organized by UNMIS Public Information Office aimed to enhance their ability to inform others about the CPA as well as UNMIS' role in Sudan.
Speaking during the closing ceremony, Academy Director General Professor Abdul Diam Omer commended UNMIS for taking the lead in disseminating the CPA among Sudanese people. Students were then awarded certificates of attendance and urged to pass on what they had learned to their fellow students and communities. |
