| Parties to the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA) should trust each other and completely implement the CPA, Popular Congress Party (PCP) leader Hassan Abdalla Al Turabi said during a recent visit to Wau.
Speaking at the first constituency conference of the PCP, Mr Turabi said previous north-south peace agreements had been dishonored and civil war had plagued the country for decades. This time, signatories to the CPA should learn a lesson from the past and implement protocols of the peace accord to the letter.
The PCP leader said his party would promote fundamental rights and freedoms for all Sudanese.
The constituency conference for the PCP's Western Bahr El Ghazal Chapter was held at Wau Peace Hall. The party held similar events in Northern, Western and Eastern Sudan. |
