Duties and responsibilities:
Under the direct supervision of the Chief Technical
Compliance Officer, the incumbent is responsible for
the following duties;
- Coordinate aviation operations compliance activities
and monitor technical and safety performance of aviation
assets assigned to the mission,
- Interface with high level SCAA Authorities (Director
level) to secure timely release of aircraft for operations
throughout Sudan,
- Develop procedures for ensuring that contractors
can process documents readily by opening channels.
securing approval, facilitate and coordinate new and
changing requirements,
- Ensure proper timeline for reporting to Senior
staff and UN HQ on preparation of monthly and ad hoc
reports, AUR’s and verify reporting accuracy,
- Assist Inspection Teams of Airframe Inspectors
and Safety Officers for periodic reviews of aircraft
and aircrew compliance with contractual obligations.
- Ensure all Mission air assets are airworthy and
properly certified;
- Assist the collation of data and write technical
reviews of aviation statistical data,
- Assist the Chief Technical Compliance Officer on
other task as assigned.

plan, coordinate and monitor the work plan of those
under his/her supervision.

boundaries; ability to establish and maintain effective
partnerships and working relations in a multi-cultural,
multi-ethnic environment with sensitivity and respect
for diversity.
- Technology Awareness: Computer literacy; ability
to manage the development and adoption of new applications
for Technical Compliance; Fully conversant with ICAO
rules and regulations; Knowledgeable in the Operations
of Sudan CAA
Qualifications:
- Education: University degree in Air Transportation,
Management, Engineering. Experience in preparing statistical
analysis a must. An equivalent combination of relevant
education, professional training, certification and
experience in an air-transportation related occupation
such would also be considered. A Commercial Pilot
License, Air traffic control license or an Aircraft
maintenance certificate or diploma, would be an advantage.
Certification in airworthiness and airspace/air traffic
management would be desirable
- Experience: At least 3 to 5 years of progressively
responsible experience in the aviation industry, with
at least 2 years in an international organization.
Experience in aviation compliance and survey activities
in air operations of international, peacekeeping or
military nature and a thorough knowledge of UN financial
rules is desirable. Working knowledge of air charter
operations or aviation maintenance operations is also
beneficial.
- Languages: Fluency in spoken and written English
and Arabic; knowledge of other local language may
be an asset.
