Under the direct supervision of Facilities Management Officer of the General Services Section, the incumbent will perform the following functions:

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Orders and controls the cleaning materials.
  • Liaises with food cells for rations control fuel cell for provision/control of diesel fuel.
  • Maintains stock/ control records on all UN Owned equipment in assigned camp(s).
  • Checks all contract invoices before presentation to the sector admin/Logistics services connected matters.
  • Maintains Liaison and resolves disputes/complaints from staff regarding contractors' performance.
  • Performs other camp/Building Management takes as required such as inspection of cleaning and maintenance of the camp.
  • Ensures removal of garbage and walkabout inspection of premises.
  • Any other duties as assigned by the Administrative/ Logistic officer.

  • Technological awareness: Ability to operate a computer with MS Word, Excel Power Point and Access and Data bases. Ability to type in English and Arabic.

Education: High school diploma, Post-secondary education at college, university or specialized training institution an asset. Nature and level of specialized training should include office management/business administration and technical and communications skills. Knowledge of shorthand an asset
Experience: At least 4 years of progressively responsible experience in administration/office management/or travel related/logistic fields. and. Experience with UN/NGO or other International bodies an asset.
Other skills: Demonstrated ability to apply good judgment in the context of assignments given. Demonstrated effective organizational skills and ability to handle work in an efficient and timely manner. A high level of demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
Language skills: Fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic.
